At the end of September, it will be four years since one little stainless steel bracelet changed so much for me.
I can still remember the day.
Our owner and founder introduced permanent jewelry to those of us on the advisory committee. She gave each of us our own set of tools, demonstrated how it worked, and then linked our very first permanent bracelets right onto our wrists.
Mine was a little heart bracelet.
As she put it on my arm, she told us, “This is going to be the next hottest thing in jewelry.”

And I remember thinking…
Oh dear. What is this? 😂
I had been in the jewelry business for years. I knew jewelry. I loved jewelry. But this? A bracelet that stayed on your wrist? I wasn’t quite sure what to think.
What I definitely didn’t know that day was just how much impact that one little piece of stainless steel jewelry was about to have on my life.
On my business. On my team. On my family. On my finances. And honestly, on my heart.
What started with one little heart bracelet has grown into something I never could have imagined.
Over these almost four years, I’ve linked countless pieces of permanent jewelry. But when I think back over this journey, it’s not really the number of bracelets that stands out to me.
It’s the people.
Permanent jewelry got us back in front of people again—face to face, building relationships, hearing stories, laughing together and sometimes even crying together.
I’ve linked best friends who wanted something to remind them of their friendship. I’ve linked moms and daughters, sisters and families. I’ve been part of birthdays, weddings, going-away parties, celebrations, girls’ nights and special occasions of all kinds.
I’ve watched people choose a chain because it reminded them of someone they loved.
I’ve watched families come together and choose matching pieces.
I’ve gotten to be a tiny part of moments and memories that have absolutely nothing to do with simply buying a bracelet.
And THAT is one of the things I love most about this business.
We’re not just linking jewelry. We’re linking people, stories, moments and memories.
What a blessing it has been to have a front-row seat to so many of them.
And to think…
It all started with one little heart bracelet and me sitting there thinking,
“Oh dear, what is this?”
I had absolutely no idea what was coming.
And maybe that’s one of my favorite parts of this story.
Sometimes the things we never saw coming become some of the biggest blessings of all.
And my PermaLinx story?
Well… it was only getting started.
